What Aussie game is more synonymous with the Australian Military than 2-Up?!
2-Up Instructions / Rules
1. Players will register with the Legacy attendant at the 2-Up ring located centrally on the main lawn. Players will donate $10 to Legacy using a Tap&Go contactless payment and receive $200 of "Fake Money".
2. The game involves one person tossing up two coins and people in the crowd or “school” as it’s known, bet on the outcome.
3. The outcomes are either two heads, two tails or “odds”, which is one of each. You can bet on either heads or tails or odds.
4. Several bets are made among people in the "school" and the whole game is run by the “boxer” who stands in the middle but does not bet.
5. It’s the boxer's job to ensure all bets are paid and people are playing fairly. They also have discretion when it comes to weak tosses, so make sure to get those coins nice and high.
6. For a toss to be legitimate, the coins need to travel at least three metres in the air and land inside the ring.
7. Money is then exchanged depending on who won the bet.
8. If Players require additional Fake Money, you can do so by returning to the attendant and making another $10 donation to Legacy for an additional $200 of Fake Money.
9. If you have finished playing, you can register how much Fake Money you have left. Prizes for top three highest earners will be announced after the event via email, and will also be published on the Spring Ball website. The prizes are:
1st Prize - $150 Restaurant Gift Card 2nd prize - $100 Pamper Gift Card 3rd Prize - $50 Cinema Gift Card
NB: Gambling with real money in 2-Up is considered unregulated gambling and is illegal on any day other than ANZAC Day.
Any players found to be exchanging real cash will be expelled from the event and 2-Up will cease operating for 15 minutes. Disciplinary action may be pursued.
